Privacy Policy
Macprit keeps privacy simple. The app does not need a normal account, but checkout, trials, licence activation, restore, support, contact forms, and refunds need limited information to work.
This policy covers the Macprit website, Macprit app, checkout, licence activation, restore, support, and contact flows.
Macprit is a macOS utility app credited to Avencreative. You can contact support and privacy requests at hello@avencreative.co.uk.
Macprit does not require a normal account. To provide trials, paid access, support, and restore flows, Macprit may collect the email used at checkout, licence status, licence key prefix, licence key hash, encrypted licence key, trial status, restore token hash, Stripe customer and checkout identifiers, order status, amount, currency, and payment confirmation details.
For licence checks and activation, Macprit may collect device-related licence identifiers such as a device ID or device ID hash, activation status, Mac model, platform, app version, and macOS version where supplied by the app or by you in a support request.
If you use a contact form, email support, or ask for a refund, Macprit may collect your name, email address, message, checkout email, licence key details, order details, Mac model, macOS version, screenshots, and issue description.
The contact form is handled through Formspree. Direct support email is handled through hello@avencreative.co.uk.
Payments are handled through Stripe Checkout. Card details are handled by Stripe, not Macprit.
Macprit stores the payment and checkout information needed to create a licence key, confirm payment, handle restore requests, provide support, and review refund requests.
Macprit uses Supabase to store private checkout, customer, order, licence, trial, activation, restore, and webhook records used by the licence system.
The full licence key is shown after checkout. Macprit stores a hash, prefix, and encrypted copy so one licence can activate one Mac and support can help with restore requests without storing card details.
Macprit uses this information to run checkout, issue licence keys, activate and check licences, start and enforce trials, restore access, answer support requests, investigate bugs, review refunds, prevent fraud or licence abuse, and keep payment and legal records.
Macprit does not sell your personal information.
Macprit shares only the information needed with service providers that help run the product, including Stripe for payment processing, Supabase for backend and licence data storage, Formspree for contact form handling, and the website hosting provider for delivering the site.
Information may also be shared if required to deal with fraud, security, legal obligations, payment disputes, or support requests.
Checkout, order, licence, trial, activation, and restore records are kept for as long as needed to provide the licence, support restore requests, handle refunds and disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Support and contact messages are kept while the request is open and for a reasonable period afterwards in case follow-up is needed. Records that are no longer needed are deleted or reduced where practical.
You can contact hello@avencreative.co.uk to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it where possible, or to ask how it is used.
Some records may need to be kept where they are needed for payment records, licence enforcement, fraud prevention, security, disputes, or legal obligations.
The current Macprit website does not use analytics, marketing pixels, or non-essential tracking cookies.
Stripe Checkout, Formspree, and the hosting provider may use their own cookies or similar technologies when you use their services. If Macprit adds non-essential website cookies later, the site will need an appropriate cookie notice or choice mechanism.
